Does Your lifestyle Speak so loud, The Court Cannot Hear What You Are Saying?
More often than not, I run into court matters where a party states that they cannot pay support because they have no money, only to find out that they are living a lavish lifestyle. What these parties do not consider is that even though he or she may be unemployed or on disability, if their lifestyle suggests that they have more money than stated on their tax return, the court may impute an income to him or her.
So the lesson is SiMPle, if you want to say you have no money, your lifestyle should support this, otherwise, your income for support may be much higher than your tax return states.
